Well it’s that time of year, Christmas Party season! A few weeks ago I had a chat with Anna from #AlwaysAFashionParade about some of the Dos & Dont’s of the office Christmas Party as well as some thoughts on what to wear for both the lads and ladies.
But my office party is next week, and we’re lucky enough to be hiring out the entire “Gold” restaurant in the Bristol Harvey Nics and dress code has been stipulated as “Dress to impress in black, white and gold.” So that got me thinking and I’ve put together my wardrobe for what is always one of the most enjoyable (and occasionally embarrassing) nights of the year…
Jacket
It’s well documented that my go to outfit for a Christmas party is a velvet jacket and normally I plump for my Dad’s 60s vintage one that I am now the proud owner of. However, it won’t really work with the colour scheme, so it’s a good excuse to invest in a black one…

As ever I fancy being a bit different and I thought rather than go for a shirt I’d try a nice roll neck jumper in camel / gold. It works really well with the velvet jacket and just dresses it down slightly to keep it casual.

Trousers
Trouser wise I don’t think there is any need to over do it when you’ve got the velvet jacket adding that bit of pizzazz so something like these cropped skinny black smart trousers are perfect…

Shoes
I always think it’s worth going for something that bit extra special for the Christmas party, which is why I’ve chosen to pair the velvet jacket and gold roll neck with these lovely black loafers. The gold crown detail finishes things off perfectly!
