Summer Wardrobe – Hamburg

I’ve been meaning to put together a few collections of clobber that I like the look of for this summer. I’ve got a busy summer ahead including a couple of Ibiza trips, a week by the pool in Spain, Newbury Races and Love Saves The Day festival so I’m going to need a decent wardrobe to get me through. I’m kicking off a great few months next weekend with a trip to Hamburg with the lads, to see some good friends of ours and watch our beloved FC St. Pauli try and avoid relegation. So I thought I’d base a series of summer looks around my various trips, kicking off with my thoughts on what I might be taking to Hamburg…

Bucket hats massively divide opinion, but they are determinedly sticking around this summer and I quite fancy one. I’d like to avoid going too far down the “England Hooligan France ’98” sort of look and for me this Peter Storm is perfect. It’s not a brand you associate with bucket hats and it’s a brand I have a real affection for… not too pricey, nothing fancy but a real name among true casuals. I like the waterproof look as well.

Tops & Jacket

I’m hoping the weather will be half decent, but I don’t think it’ll exactly be cracking the flags so a decent jumper is in order. I’m really keen on nice and casual crew neck sweatshirts at the moment and you can’t go far wrong with this from Lacoste…

A nice polo is in order for this jaunt I think, you never know I might not need the jumper. I’m keeping it simple with a really nice classic Fred Perry…

Hand luggage only for the weekend so going to need a decent jacket but something compact and waterproof. I love Ma.Strum as a brand and their new season “packable rain tunics” are absolutely perfect for a weekend away. Highly compact but lightweight and waterproof… I’ve gone for a gold to add a bit of colour to the weekend.

I really struggle to see past Adidas for my casual footwear and for this weekend I really like the look of these Beckenbauers. I’ve had a pair before, different to these and loved them. These suit the rest of the look I’ve gone for as well.
