They know what they’re doing don’t they? Those bastards at adidas. They know we’re hooked, they know we look at other men’s trainers more than we look at their girlfriends. They know we can’t resist. They know an adidas trainer is our crack. Which is why they continue to produce the wonderful Spezial series.
The series is a celebration of the brand’s rich history with each series a curated modern take on classic archive models. They tend to drop 2 or 3 series a year and the latest collection for Spring / Summer 17 takes influence from both British casual and Jamaican reggae cultures, drawing similarities from the two into one cohesive set of lesser-know vintage silhouettes as well as some wonderful apparel pieces.
Dropping at a minute past midnight on the 24th of March on END Clothing my favourite footwear of the series is the Maddison… but I have also registered in the draw for the Trainer and the Wensley. But having said that, the Atalanda and the Jogger aren’t exactly ugly!
