I love a pool slide. Or more specifically an Adilette. My obsession with them is getting close to my relationship with trainers. It’s worrying really. But I have started to spot some that I like that aren’t even adidas! Look at me, I’m growing. So with that in mind, I thought I would pick out my Top 10 Pool Slides for summer, they’re essential for any holiday wardrobe.
Update: June 2020
Well, what a weird year it’s been. In the UK we’re still in partial lockdown over Covid-19 and for many of us our holiday plans have been put on hold. But I thought I’d revisit this post and update my Top 10 Pool Slides… after all, Ibiza is reopening in July! And if nothing else, they are great to wear around the house!
I have to start with adidas and the well known adilette! END. clothing have a great range of the classics, but for something a little bit different I like this polka dot black and white pair.
For those of you with money to burn, or more money than sense these Moncler Basile slides are rather lovely. They still won’t guarantee you get into VIP though.
I discovered American sportswear brand BALLY when I wrote about them for my “Label Discovery” series a little while back. I love these slides and they are still available as part of their range available at Stuarts of London.
More adidas, but again with a difference as these are part of their collab with designer Raf Simons and depict the classic LA Trainer. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but you won’t see many round the pool…
You can’t go wrong with a bit of Hugo Boss and Aphrodite have these in a range of colourways. The classic black and deep red are for me though!
A classy pair from British designer Paul Smith, including the signature colour Zebra.
Sophistication personified with these from Ralph Lauren. Perfect for poolside or poncing about in the villa. END. Clothing do a lovely version in navy and gold too.
If you’re more of an understated work wear kind of lounger, these classic black Carhartt logo slides are for you.
If you like understated, but are let’s face it, a bit of a wanker, then these £235 Balenciaga black sliders are for you.
